Job summary

Sammons Industrial is hiring a field technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer sites. You will work on engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and supporting components, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and minor welding as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of repair experience, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to travel and lift up to 75 pounds with your own tools. This hourly role supports a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of equipment repair or related experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry your own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel on-call when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, lifting systems, and other major components.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and basic welding as needed.
• Follow all safety practices and regulatory requirements.
• Complete service documentation, maintain parts and supplies, care for company vehicle, and deliver dependable customer service.
