Job summary

Sammons Warehouse Solutions is seeking a Service Department Leader in an on-site role in Orlando, FL. You will direct the service team, manage P&L performance, and drive operational efficiency while fostering safety and customer satisfaction.

Your leadership will be essential in growing the service business and maintaining Briggs-style reliability. You will build a strong, accountable team, mentor staff, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to deliver exceptional service and value

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in Heavy Construction/Earth and Agricultural repair or related industry.
• Strong business judgment with understanding of financial performance, customer service, operations and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Service Department’s people, strategy, and financial performance (P&L, pricing, processes, training, quality, productivity).
• Hire, coach, develop, and motivate team members while creating growth opportunities and accountability.
• Champion safety by leading safety meetings, near-miss reporting, and incident investigations.
• Maintain trusted customer relationships through visits, hands-on problem solving, and managing key accounts to drive revenue and control costs.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll set the direction for the Service Department and create an environment where people can do their best work. You’ll coach and develop your team, champion a Safety First culture, and make sure our customers receive the dependable service they expect from Briggs.

You’ll also own the business side of service—from P&L performance and operational efficiency to customer relationships and growth. Your leadership will help your team succeed, our customers stay productive, and our business continue moving forward.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Service Department’s people, strategy, and financial performance, including P&L management, pricing, processes, training, quality, productivity, and overall customer experience.
• Build a strong, accountable team by hiring, coaching, developing, and motivating team members while creating opportunities for people to grow and perform at their best.
• Champion safety by leading safety meetings, reinforcing near-miss reporting, partnering on incident investigations, and maintaining a work environment where everyone takes responsibility for working safely.
• Build trusted customer relationships through regular visits and hands-on problem solving, while managing key accounts, supporting revenue growth, controlling fleet and department expenses, and partnering across the business to deliver results.

What You’ll Bring

• Leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold teams accountable; 2+ years of experience in Heavy Construction/ Earth and Ag repair or a related industry is preferred.
• Strong business judgment and an understanding of financial performance, customer service, operations, and problem solving; mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge are a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
