Job summary

New Weds Foods in the United States is seeking a production operator to learn and perform all tasks across the department so the line runs smoothly during breaks.

You will operate equipment, handle mixing, measure ingredients, read batch tickets, and assist with sanitation as needed to maintain production quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic math/problem-solving skills, with standard benefits and a background check.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to lift, bend, push and pull as part of daily work.
• Demonstrates mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and operate all equipment to keep the line running during breaks.
• Perform all phases of mixing, including measuring ingredients and reading batch tickets.
• Fill 20-40 lb bags and stack 25-50 bags per pallet.
• Lift hot 25-pound loaves from conveyor and place on racks.
• Lift cool 25-pound loaves from racks and place on conveyor for processing.
• Operate department equipment as listed above.
• Perform department sanitation (dry cleaning/wet washing).
• Other related duties as needed.

Summary:

To learn and perform all jobs within the department to be able to relieve employees as they break. Learns to operate and operates all equipment in the departments.

Essential Functions:

• Learn to operate and operates all equipment to keep the line running by operating all equipment as employees take their breaks.
• Ability to perform all phases of the mixing operation including, but not limited to, knowledge of location and types of ingredients, measuring and weighing processes, reading and understanding batch tickets.
• Fills 20-40 pound bags with product and stacks them 25-50 bags per pallet.
• Lifts hot 25-pound loaves of bread from conveyor and places it on the racks.
• Lifts cool 25-pound loaves of bread from the racks; and place bread on a conveyor to be ground down.
• Operates all department equipment as listed above.
• Performs department Sanitation as needed (Dry cleaning/Wet Washing).
• Performs other related duties as needed.

Salary:

• Starting at $20.21- $25.27 an hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education, training or experience (GED)
• The employee will be required to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The employee will regularly lift, bend, push, and pull.
• Mathematical and problem solving skills to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:

The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
