USAA seeks a Java/Spring Boot-focused engineer to design, develop, and test complex enterprise solutions on a P&C policy platform. You will troubleshoot production issues, drive performance improvements, and participate in system design reviews.

The role emphasizes containerized services with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift and collaboration across teams. Four days in-office in San Antonio or Plano is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• 4 years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs or similar enterprise tech.
• 2 years delivering tech solutions across the full SDLC, including code/design reviews.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift containerized services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues through troubleshooting.
• Improve operations by conducting complex systems analysis and recommending changes.
• Follow the software development lifecycle and participate in design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and review teammates' code.
