Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification, plus 3+ years of hands-on experience
• Practical background in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Strong Java programming skills
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience using enterprise-approved AI coding assistants to improve code quality, delivery speed, productivity, and documentation, with outputs validated through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices
• Working knowledge of SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud platforms and services such as AWS, ECS, and S3
• Nice to have: NoSQL/NPL programming experience, including Cassandra
• Nice to have: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Scala, and HDFS
• Nice to have: Understanding of modern infrastructure technologies and architectures, including cloud, virtualization, and object stores
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Kafka

Responsibilities

• We design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions, using creative approaches to solve complex technical problems
• We build secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms aligned with appropriate systems
• We create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software implementation meets design constraints
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large and diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of our applications and systems
• We proactively identify hidden issues and data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies
