Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) in Maryland is seeking a Software Engineer to support analyses, design, development and verification of complex systems, with emphasis on interoperability and system performance. The role requires active TS/SCI with Poly, strong Java software development experience, Agile practices, and hands-on work with Jira/Confluence.

Hybrid work with 2-3 days onsite at Annapolis Junction.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited program and 7+ years of professional experience; an additional 4 years can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
Experience with Java software development.
Experience generating & reviewing software/technical documentation.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Experience with one or more of: React, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, XML.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
