Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions. You will lead high-impact projects, align goals and timelines, and collaborate with the Chief Engineer to define feature specs.

Ideal candidates have 14+ years (or 0+ years for substitution) of relevant experience, TS/SCI with poly, and strong skills in Java/C++/Python, Git, and PostgreSQL. Hybrid work up to 16 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 14+ years of experience.
• Four years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with development & execution of test procedures for software components.
• Experience generating & reviewing software/technical documentation.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Git, Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres).
• Experience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, HAProxy, Nginx, Elastic Stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
• Facilitate alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance requirements.
• Define feature specifications with the Chief Engineer.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on diverse problems requiring data evaluation.
• Identify and drive changes in codebase or systems.
