Job summary

Insight Global in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to join a team developing and enhancing the Navy's Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation platform. You will work on Java-based applications, collaborate with engineers, and operate within a Red Hat Linux environment to deliver robust software for Navy training operations.

The role requires OO and multi-threaded programming experience, proficiency with Java IDEs, and an ability to debug, test, and deploy software in an Agile

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience.
Experience with OO and multi-threaded apps.
Experience with Java IDEs (IntelliJ/Eclipse) and debugging.
Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
Experience in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, integrate, and maintain Java-based applications for the JSAF simulation environment.
Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and end users to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
Support software development activities within a Red Hat Linux environment using modern tools and frameworks.
Write, test, debug, and troubleshoot object-oriented, multi-threaded applications.
Utilize Git to manage source code and support team-based development.
