Job summary

VTG is seeking a Senior Associate Software Engineer to support our Navy customer in Manassas, VA. The role is primarily onsite and involves developing features for the Common Infrastructure Services system, integrating software across laboratories and labs, and delivering updates.

You will work with Java, Python, and C++ in a multi-company team, contribute to builds and tests, and coordinate with program managers and government representatives. Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT.
• Experience with Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with Git workflows.
• Experience with Linux and Docker.
• Comfortable using Linux command line (RHEL 8/9).
• US Citizenship with current Secret Clearance; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Software development – primarily but not limited to Java, Python, C++.
• Work as part of a larger integrated team across multiple companies.
• Assisting in software build, delivery, integration, and test in multiple unclassified and classified labs in Manassas VA.
• Provide technical input to program managers and government representatives.
