Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Software Engineer - Java Middle Layer to join our on-site team in San Diego, CA. You will contribute to enterprise Java EE solutions within an Agile environment, collaborating with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, and Test Automation teams.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2 years of related experience, plus the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance and SAP access as needed. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience with the full SDLC.
• Experience with Agile SW development, integration and testing.
• Proficiency in Java, C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with tools: Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, Coverity, or Black Duck.
• Active Top Secret clearance (background check within 5 years or CE).
• Ability to obtain SAP access before and after start.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment with multiple engineering domains in Agile development.
• Participate in software development lifecycle from prototype to delivery.
• Work with OO programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML, XSD.
• Develop enterprise Java EE solutions in a SOA environment.
• Support software lifecycle processes across teams.
• Collaborate with team members regularly.
