Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Java Developer to design, build, and deliver software applications within a high-performing Technology team supporting business-critical systems.

You will work largely independently to solve complex problems and integrate domain knowledge with industry standards. Responsibilities include analyzing applications, enabling scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an Apps Development role with Java and microservices experience
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• UI/Angular experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI) and Git
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented
• Experience with running high-traffic, distributed, cloud-based services
• Ability to lead infrastructure programs and collaborate with third-party providers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver software applications within a high-performing tech team
• Identify and implement system enhancements and provide solutions with limited supervision
• Consult with users and tech groups to define requirements and propose programming solutions
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities, conduct testing and debugging
• Serve as SME to stakeholders and coach junior analysts
• Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions
