Job summary

Citi in Irving, TX is seeking a Java Developer to design, build, and deliver software applications within a high-performing Technology team that supports mission-critical systems across the firm. You will work with microservices in Java, contribute to RESTful APIs, and help ensure secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an Apps Development role with microservices using Java.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI, or similar) and Git-based version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications, identify necessary system enhancements, and analyze/interpreting code.
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Apply programming language knowledge to design specifications and implement changes.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities, conduct testing and debugging, and resolve issues.
• Serve as advisor to junior analysts and guide technical decisions while maintaining independence.
