Job summary

Cognizant in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Developer to build secure, scalable asset and wealth management apps using Java Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring AI, Python, and NodeJS. You will create web interfaces with AngularJS and implement cloud-native patterns with Docker and Kafka in a hybrid work model.

Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and QA to design, test, and release high-performance solutions, ensuring security and reliability across development, testing, and production

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on Java development with Spring Core, MVC, Boot.
• Cloud-ready microservices using Spring Cloud patterns.
• Docker containerization and collaboration with platform teams.
• Kafka expertise: topics, consumer groups, serialization, monitoring.
• AngularJS SPAs with secure API integrations.
• Deep domain knowledge in asset and wealth management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust microservices with Java Spring.
• Develop front-end components using AngularJS for dashboards and workflows.
• Implement Docker-based environments for development, testing, and production.
• Build Kafka-driven real-time data streaming integrations.
• Apply Spring Integration or similar for complex workflows across financial systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA in a hybrid environment.
• Conduct unit and integration tests and perform code reviews.
