Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Development Lead for the Credit Risk Technology team in Irving, TX. You will lead hands-on design, development, and deployment of high-performance risk systems, leveraging AI to enhance counterparty credit risk management.

You will mentor engineers, drive agile delivery, and collaborate with risk officers and traders to translate complex business needs into scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in Java and related technologies.
• Extensive experience with modern tech stacks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience leveraging AI/ML tools (GenAI, ML frameworks, NLP) in large-scale apps.
• Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data integration/streaming.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in design, architecture, and hands-on development of Counterparty Credit Risk Management solutions using AI tools.
• Drive technical excellence and ensure high-performance, scalable applications; conduct code reviews and mentor engineers.
• Supervise and nurture a collaborative, innovative team; allocate resources to meet deadlines and risk-management objectives.
• Identify emerging technologies and drive adoption of modern tech stacks and AI capabilities in risk solutions.
• Define architectural standards and translate business requirements into scalable designs.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of software projects within the Credit Risk domain and promote agile practices.
• Communicate progress and challenges to technical and business stakeholders; collaborate across teams.
