Job summary

Dev Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Java Developer to design and implement MFA for web applications as part of O&M for a federal government client.

The role emphasizes IAM concepts, secure authentication workflows, and collaboration across a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate has strong Java development skills, experience with identity and access management, and familiarity with Spring Security and modern JS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s Degree with seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
• Multi-year proficiency in application development with one or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React, Angular), Java / Spring Boot
• Strong Java development experience
• Experience with identity and access management and single sign-on, preferably with Microsoft Entra ID
• Project experience developing and integrating user authentication workflow with web-based applications, for example Spring security
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) plus active listening skills to collaborate with a large cross functional team
• Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanban methodology via Jira

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and prototype the implementation of secure user authentication mechanisms for web-based applications.
• Deliver a robust MFA solution leveraging industry standard IdP(s) and customer preference.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Development Lead, and incumbents to integrate MFA into existing systems.
