Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin seeks a Systems Analyst VI to lead Java full-stack development for CTO initiatives, modernizing enterprise applications, AI-enabled features, and secure, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with architects and product teams, prepare technical docs, participate in code reviews, and mentor teammates while delivering reliable, compliant software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with Java
• 4+ years experience with front end technologies like Angular, React, ect
• API Development
• Experience with Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, ect

Responsibilities

• Develops, enhances, and maintains modern full-stack web applications, reusable UI components, services, and features for enterprise modernization and AI initiatives.
• Develops secure backend services, RESTful APIs, data access layers, and integration workflows with databases and cloud services.
• Contributes to AI-enabled and agent-based capabilities including chat interfaces, workflow agents, and tool/API calling with secure, auditable delivery.
• Evaluates application performance, resolves issues, improves reliability, and performs testing across development and production environments.
• Prepares technical documentation, API specifications, and implementation guidance; participates in code reviews and standards alignment.
