Job summary

Synchrony Systems, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to design, implement and scale backend services, craft secure RESTful APIs, and build robust microservices.

You will optimize database access with ORM tools, contribute to test automation with JUnit, and participate in CI/CD and cloud deployments, working closely with front-end and platform teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in distributed systems design and scalable architecture.
• Strong Java (17+) knowledge and multithreading.
• Hands-on Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM (Hibernate).

Responsibilities

• System Design: Architect and scale distributed backend systems that handle high traffic, concurrency, and data throughput.
• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Database Management: Optimize database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and manage data persistence using ORM frameworks.
• Security & Auth: Implement and maintain robust security protocols for authentication and authorization.
• Testing Automation: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and regression test suites to ensure high code quality.
• CI/CD & Cloud: Package applications into containers and assist in deploying services to cloud infrastructure.
• Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance, memory leaks, and query bottlenecks.
