Job summary

Northern Base is seeking a Java Developer in Jersey City to design and implement scalable back-end services using Java 8/11/17 and Spring. The role requires building microservices, RESTful APIs, and integrating with front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript.

The ideal candidate will work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and modern CI/CD pipelines, applying OAuth2/JWT/SSO for secure authentication in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring ecosystem.
• Hands-on in building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Front-end familiarity with React/Angular, TypeScript and JS basics.
• Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS/Azure).
• Proficient in CI/CD tools and secure auth (OAuth2/JWT/SSO).
• Knowledge of databases and query optimization (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.

Java Developer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Expertise in developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS/Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka, JMS, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and query optimization.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Maven, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
