Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Java-focused backend engineer with Spring Boot and microservices experience. You will design and implement RESTful services, integrate messaging with Kafka and other brokers, and work across cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP.

The role involves secure communication, containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes, and modern front-end interactions using React.js and HTML5.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Java 8 and Spring Boot in a microservices stack.
• Experience designing REST APIs and service contracts.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices patterns (gateway, discovery, config, sidecar).
• Familiar with Spring Integration and messaging (Kafka, AMQP, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
• Experience with relational DBs (DB2, Postgres).
• Web frontend development with HTML5/React.js/CSS; Node.js and Webpack in build pipelines.
• Testing frameworks such as Jest, Selenium, Cucumber; familiarity with TDD concepts.
• Security practices: TLS, MTLS, OAuth2, session management; DevOps CI/CD with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Fortify, SonarQube, and Black Duck.

Job description

• Experience in Java 8, Spring boot, micro services architecture,
• Knowledge of REST API design and specifications
• Micro services patterns like gateway, discovery, config and sidecar services.
• Any Internal and/or external cloud implementations [Either AWS, Azure or Google cloud]
• Spring integration with Apache Kafka, AMQP, RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ
• Experience in RDBMS like DB2 or Postgres
• Experience in developing web applications using HTML5/React.JS/CSS
• Web development frameworks with NodeJS, webpack etc.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (JEST, Selenium, Cucumber) and concepts of Test Driven Development
• Knowledge of Apigee, security aspects like TLS, MTLS, oAuth2, session management.
• Deployment tools using Docker, Kubernetes and overall DevOps CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Fortify, Sonar, blackduck.
