Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Ashburn, VA is seeking a senior Java software engineer to design and implement microservice architectures, using AWS, Spring Boot, Angular, and modern IDEs. You will mentor junior developers and participate in design reviews, documenting designs per lifecycle guidelines.

You will work across OO design, databases (Oracle, Postgres), JMS, XML/JSON, and CI/CD with Gradle/Maven, in a distributed team environment with a strong emphasis on delivering scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field with 14+ years of technical experience or Master's and 12.
• Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS (or equivalent cloud providers).
• Solid experience with backend systems using Spring Boot.
• Java Frameworks such as Spring.
• UI development skills, specifically with Angular 19+.
• Database operations (Oracle and Postgres).
• Hibernate.
• JMS.
• XML, JSON.
• SQL, JDBC.
• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and orchestration to develop a cloud solution.
• High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior level developers.
• Openness to working on all layers of the application.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Familiar with OAuth.
• Developing 100% automating unit tests using SOAP-UI, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
• Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (Git and Gradle/Maven).
• Load Balancing and Enterprise Service Bus frameworks (preferably under Cloud environment).
• Agile Scrum and possibly experience with leading a Scrum team as a scrum master or equivalent.
• Elasticsearch.
