Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Chicago seeks a senior software engineer to architect and deliver cloud-native microservices. You will build Java backends, REST APIs, and data integrations, while shaping frontend experiences with React/TypeScript and reusable components.

You will work across OMS/ERP systems, payments, catalog and content services, deploy in AWS with Docker/Kubernetes, and implement CI/CD, tests, and automation. Strong problem solving and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years delivering microservices in enterprise environments.
• 8+ years software engineering with 5+ years Java for enterprise applications.
• Experience in large-scale commerce, retail, or platform migration.
• Experience with AI solutions and React/TypeScript frontends.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases and data migration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop React-based storefront interfaces using TypeScript and reusable components.
• Build and expose RESTful microservices and integrate with ERP/OMS/payments.
• Containerize apps with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes/OpenShift on AWS.
• Lead data mapping, migration rehearsals, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Create automated tests with JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Playwright.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure security, observability, and performance.

• 3+ years delivering microservices and cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years developing enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Experience in large-scale commerce, retail, digital transformation, or platform migration programs.
• Should have experience on AI solutions
• Develop React-based composable storefront experiences using TypeScript, modern state-management patterns, and reusable components.
• Build interfaces between UDP and retained enterprise platforms, including OMS, ERP, payments, loyalty, catalog, search, and content services.
• Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy workloads to Kubernetes or OpenShift environments on AWS.
• Execute data mapping, conversion, synchronization, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Create unit, component, API, integration, UI, and regression automation using JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Playwright.
• REST APIs, microservices, DDD and common design patterns AWS, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD
• Kafka/event streaming, API gateways and integration patterns Jenkins/GitHub Actions; Terraform preferred
• Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL; NoSQL fundamentals JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Playwright and SonarQube
