Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build automation platforms powering our private cloud HCI ecosystem. You will develop software that provisions, configures, and governs infrastructure components across the private cloud stack, using Java and Spring Boot.

This hybrid role requires collaborating with infra, virtualization, cloud engineering, and platform teams, delivering reusable automation services, integrating with CI/CD, and driving infrastructure as code.

Software Engineer - Infrastructure Automation & Private Cloud Platform Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design and build the automation platforms that power our Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) ecosystem.

In this role, you will develop software products and platform services that automate the provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, and operational governance of infrastructure components across the private cloud stack. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with hands-on experience delivering automation solutions for infrastructure, virtualization, storage, networking, or cloud platforms.

This is a development-focused role where success is measured by the quality, scalability, reliability, and adoption of the software solutions you build. You will leverage modern engineering practices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines to transform infrastructure operations into fully automated, self-service platform capabilities.

You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, virtualization, cloud engineering, and platform teams to create reusable automation services that reduce operational risk, eliminate manual processes, and enable infrastructure capabilities to be delivered as code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices that automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, and operational workflows.
• Develop platform automation capabilities for compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and HCI services.
• Engineer infrastructure-as-code and API-driven automation frameworks that enable standardized platform deployments.
• Design reusable software components, libraries, and services that support scalable cloud platform operations.
• Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Develop containerized applications and services supporting platform engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, virtualization engineers, and cloud platform teams to define automation requirements and implementation patterns.
• Create observability, monitoring, and operational tooling to improve platform reliability and supportability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and software engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate software delivery while maintaining engineering quality and governance standards.
• Drive automation maturity by eliminating manual operational processes through software‑first engineering approaches.
