Job summary

Infosys, a global technology services leader, is seeking a Java backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services using Spring Boot and microservices. The role emphasizes RESTful APIs, Kafka, and AWS, with opportunities to influence architecture and delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.

The position requires strong coding skills, experience with cloud-native patterns, and a willingness to collaborate with product owners, UI teams, QA, and DevOps engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Java backend services using Spring Boot and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, Kafka messaging, and cloud-minded architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; willing to relocate to the U.S. if required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and document business requirements clearly.
• Lead design discussions and guide the development team through implementation.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain backend components with a focus on stability.
• Review code, perform changes, and manage source repositories.
• Implement testing strategies and coordinate bug fixes to ensure quality.
• Develop user training materials and ensure smooth transitions to new software.
• Resolve production issues and implement preventive measures for reliability.
• Maintain thorough records to enrich knowledge bases for future projects.
