Job summary

Infosys Limited seeks a Java Backend Developer to join our Technology Consulting team in the United States. The role focuses on building scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, integrating AWS cloud capabilities, and contributing across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Java/JEE, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and experience with CI/CD, code reviews, and production support. Occasional relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong Java backend development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, REST APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; relocation/travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and implement microservices-based architectures following cloud-native design principles.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Build secure, resilient, and high-performance solutions adhering to enterprise standards.
• Leverage AWS services for deployment, monitoring, and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, UI developers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Support CI/CD implementation and cloud deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement root cause fixes.
