Job summary

Bitpanda is seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale low-latency back-end systems powering its margin trading ecosystem. You will own critical infrastructure for leverage management and real-time risk, collaborating with product and risk teams to shape how clients access leverage and manage credit risk at scale.

You are proficient in Java 17+, Micronaut/Spring Boot, and have experience with REST APIs, events, and database technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience with Micronaut/Spring Boot and Java 17+.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient service architectures.
• Implement unit, end-to-end, and integration tests.
• Optimize payment modules for reliability and performance.
• Research new backend technologies and drive innovation.
• Mentor junior developers.
