Job summary

NTT DATA Romania SA is hiring a Mid-Level Backend Developer to build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture. You will contribute to API-first delivery and work closely with product owners, QA, DevOps and fellow engineers.

You will develop REST APIs, collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, and contribute to performance improvements, code quality and defect resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs and understanding of microservices concepts.
• Familiarity with relational databases like Oracle DB or MySQL, GitLab and software development best practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments is considered an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement REST APIs and support microservices-based solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, DevOps and Product Owners to deliver features.
• Support defect analysis, performance tuning and code quality improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals.
