Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a Java Developer for our New Jersey team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.

You’ll collaborate with QA, DevOps, and UI teams, ensuring secure coding and performance optimization across relational databases and deployment environments. The role requires 5+ years in Java, 3+ years with Spring, and strong OOP/design pattern experience, with familiarity in CI/CD and containerization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development with Java 8 or above.
• 3+ years with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of OOP, data structures, or design patterns.
• 3+ years building RESTful web services.
• 3+ years with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years with Hibernate/JPA and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications.
• Build scalable services with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, well-documented code following standards.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and UI developers.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Work with relational databases and optimize queries.
• Support deployment and troubleshooting in lower environments.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and quality standards.
