Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Java Backend Developer for a 1-year temp role in Plano, TX on a hybrid schedule (onsite every other week). You will design, develop, test, and support scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend Java experience, experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to best practices will be essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• 3+ years building and integrating REST APIs and enterprise services.
• 3+ years of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• 3+ years of AWS or Azure and Oracle/SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate applications with internal/external APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize database queries using Oracle/SQL.
• Participate in application design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Support automated testing and collaborate with QA teams on functional and integration testing.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and deploy applications on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with .NET and Mainframe application teams for cross-platform integrations.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow software engineering best practices.
