Job summary

Qualysoft GmbH is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 21/Spring Boot applications. You’ll build REST/SOAP APIs, implement Kafka-based event-driven architectures, and work with SQL databases while ensuring test automation with TestContainers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to deployment and monitoring in containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate REST and SOAP APIs to enable communication between internal and external systems.
• Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication between services.
• Work with SQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and data persistence.
• Develop and maintain automated integration tests using TestContainers to ensure application reliability and quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications to improve performance, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices.
