Job summary

Qualysoft GmbH is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for backend services (CDEV, LIDA, DDHS) and frontend interfaces. You will implement REST API and Kafka tests, integrate tests in CI/CD, and collaborate with analysts and developers to ensure acceptance criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java (preferably Java 17/21) and testing frameworks.
• Hands-on REST API testing experience with modern tools.
• Experience with integration testing and Kafka message testing.
• SQL and data validation for QA purposes.
• UI test automation with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress.
• CI/CD pipelines familiarity (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
• OpenShift or Kubernetes familiarity.
• Performance testing with JMeter or Gatling.
• Banking/financial services domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the automated testing framework for CDEV, LIDA, and DDHS.
• Develop automated tests for REST APIs and Kafka-based workflows.

• Automate end-to-end (E2E) testing scenarios for Angular-based user interfaces.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers during requirements analysis to define acceptance criteria and test data.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, track defects, and monitor their resolution.

• Hands-on experience in REST API testing using RestAssured or similar tools.
• Practical experience with TestContainers for integration testing and Kafka message testing.

• Experience in UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
