Job summary

Qualysoft GmbH is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join an international software engineering firm with a Vienna origin and expanding to the US. You will build and maintain automated tests across REST APIs, Kafka workflows, and UI layers, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.

You will work with Java 17/21, TestContainers, Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, and SQL validation, collaborating with BA and Dev teams to ensure robust quality across enterprise-grade applications.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java (preferably Java 17/21), JUnit 5, and AssertJ for automated testing.
• Hands-on REST API testing using RestAssured or similar tools.
• Experience with TestContainers for integration testing and Kafka message testing.
• Solid SQL knowledge for data validation.
• UI test automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) and Git.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the automated testing framework for CDEV, LIDA, and DDHS.
• Develop automated tests for REST APIs and Kafka-based workflows.
• Implement integration tests using TestContainers in isolated testing environments.
• Validate data in SQL databases, ensuring amount consistency, traceability, and auditability.
• Automate end-to-end (E2E) testing scenarios for Angular-based user interfaces.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers during requirements analysis to define acceptance criteria and test data.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, track defects, and monitor their resolution.
