Job summary

MACHINE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES LLC in New York, NY seeks an experienced Java Architect to define and drive the architecture for enterprise Java solutions. You will design scalable microservices, API-driven architectures, and cloud deployments on AWS/Azure, using Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and strong CI/CD practices.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, coding standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to modernization efforts and secure, resilient systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive application architecture and technical design for enterprise Java solutions.
• Design scalable microservices and API-driven architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, architecture reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting support.
• Design and optimize REST APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems.
• Work with Kafka or similar messaging platforms for asynchronous/event-driven architectures.
• Architect solutions for AWS/Azure environments, including containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, resiliency, performance, and application security practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, security, infrastructure, and other architects.
• Evaluate existing/legacy applications and define modernization and cloud migration strategies.
• Mentor developers and provide technical direction throughout the SDLC.
