Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Jarraff Operator to operate heavy equipment removing branches and tree material from electrical lines. This full-time role requires travel during storm restoration work and offers health insurance plus a 401K option.

Qualified candidates will have prior heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A CDL and DOT Medical Card are required for trucks over 26,000 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to travel for storm restoration work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Prepare equipment and materials for each day’s work as directed by Foreperson.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of equipment and tools.
• Assist crew members and provide leadership when required.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect workers and the public.
• Keep informed on new equipment specs and operating procedures.
