Qualifications

• Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, Culture & Literature or equivalent.
• Native or accredited fluency in Japanese for the Japanese market.
• Fluent in English to translate to/from Japanese.
• Experience with CAT tools and UI translation for high-end software.

Responsibilities

• Translate Apple products into Japanese.
• Use internal tools to identify localization changes.
• Monitor, report, and resolve localization bugs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Maintain terminology consistency across Apple products for Japanese market.
• Provide quick-turnaround translations when needed.
• Identify tools and process improvements for localization workflows.
• Use unreleased software to verify localization.
• Maintain style guides and language glossaries.
