We’re seeking a senior head of recruiting for Japan to scale hiring across tech and business teams, partnering with executives, shaping strategy, and building a world-class team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recruiting experience, including leading teams in Japan.
• Experience hiring across technical and business functions within high-growth technology companies.
• Deep understanding of the Japan talent market and engineering/enterprise sales teams.
• Strong people leadership with a track record coaching recruiters.
• Experience partnering with executives and senior hiring managers on growth strategies.
• Excellent judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving in fast-changing environments.
• Fluent Japanese and strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting across Japan for engineering, product, sales, G&A, and leadership roles.
• Build and develop a high-performing recruiting team with a culture of excellence.
• Translate business priorities into scalable hiring strategies and market plans.
• Advise on Japan talent market, compensation trends, and organizational design.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
• Personally recruit and close senior and business-critical hires when needed.
• Improve recruiting operations, interview quality, and candidate experience.
• Partner with People, Compensation, Immigration, and Recruiting Ops to support growth.
• Use data and market insights to inform hiring priorities and capacity planning.
