Job summary

Jimmy Jazz in Bangor, ME is seeking a reliable maintenance/custodial team member to perform a wide variety of routine and preventative tasks to keep the store clean, orderly and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple cleaning tasks consistently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, break rooms, offices and other areas; replenishes supplies.
• Buffs and waxes floors per facility program after training.
• Collects and disposes of trash; performs minor repairs as directed.
• Helps collect shopping carts; outdoor seasonal duties like snow shoveling and salting.
• Operates power equipment safely, including forklift, pallet jack, pressure washer and floor cleaners.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store management.

SUMMARY:

Performs a wide variety of routine and preventative maintenance/custodial duties in order to maintain a clean, orderly and safety environment in the store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware.
• Cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, break rooms, offices and other assigned areas. Also replenishes supplies as needed, i.e.: soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Keep janitorial cart clean and sanitized.
• As directed after proper training – buff and wax floors according to facility floor management program.
• Collects and disposes of trash and garbage.
• Performs minor repairs of equipment and buildings as directed.
• Helps collect shopping carts in the parking lot.
• Performs outside work seasonal work as directed, shoveling snow and apply salt/sand as needed.
• Operate power equipment in a safe manner, including forklift and pallet jack (after training/certification), pressure washer, hand and power tools, floor cleaner etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
