Job summary

Summit Building Services in Ohio is seeking an experienced supervisor to manage a 30-40 hour per week schedule with a varying shift, Monday through Saturday after 5pm. The role serves client sites from Downtown Cleveland to Madison and offers starting pay of $19.50 per hour with PTO, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, and bonus opportunities.

You will supervise, train, and develop staff, coordinate staffing with HR, handle client requests, and ensure buildings meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor in janitorial or similar setting.
• Able to work 30-40 hours/week with a varying schedule, after 5pm.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Perform coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
• Complete work tickets
• Send reports to Area Manager
• Recommendation of special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws
