Summit Building Services is seeking an area supervisor to oversee janitorial teams serving facilities in Akron and surrounding areas. The role involves coverage planning, training new employees, and assisting with supply orders. This is a full-time, second/third shift position with weekend work.

You will supervise staff, handle client requests, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to company policies and laws. Benefits include 401K, paid vacation, and opportunities for advancement.

Summit Building Services is looking for an area supervisor to join our janitorial team! We service commercial buildings in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Canton, and the surrounding areas. You would be assisting with coverage, training new employees, detail work, and assisting with supply orders.

Job Skills / Requirements

30-40 hours weekly: Monday - Saturday, a varying schedule after 5pm

Pay: $19.50 hourly

Job Duties Include:

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Perform coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessaryComplete work tickets
• Send reports to Area Manager
• Recommendation of special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
