Job summary

Summit Building Services is seeking an experienced supervisor to join our team in the Wooster, OH area. The role is full-time with a 30-40 hour schedule across Wooster, Mansfield, Canton and nearby locations, with shifts after 5pm, including weekends.

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour and comes with PTO, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, and bonus opportunities. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in a facilities or janitorial setting.
• Reliable transportation to sites in Wooster/Mansfield/Canton area.
• Pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff to handle client requests and complaints promptly.
• Train, motivate, and develop team members; ensure adequate staffing with HR.
• Inspect buildings to ensure compliance with specs and safety standards.
• Complete work tickets and report to Area Manager; propose special projects.

Job Skills / Requirements

Summit Building Services is looking for an experienced supervisor to grow with our team. You will be working 30-40 hours a week with a varying schedule in the Wooster, Mansfield, Canton and surrounding areas. The working hours would be Monday through Saturday, starting after 5pm. Starting pay rate is $19.50 per hour and includes PTO, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, and bonus opportunities.

You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work and be able to pass drug test and background check.

Job Duties Include:

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Perform coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
• Complete work tickets
• Send reports to Area Manager
• Recommendation of special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws
