Job summary

Modern Maintenance, Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a shift supervisor for evening hours (3:30 PM–11:00 PM).

You will oversee on-site janitorial staff, resolve issues professionally, and help plan daily work schedules while ensuring high quality and safety standards. This full-time role requires at least three years in supervisory janitorial work, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reliable transportation, and a neat appearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervising janitorial staff or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for the shift.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Spanish language preferred.
• Professional image and grooming appropriately.
• Must be flexible to cover day hours when needed.

Since 1978, Modern Maintenance has provided commercial janitorial and facility management services to a wide range of companies across the United States.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM - 11:00PM- Must be flexible. May be required to go in during the day hours for coverage/training.

Pay is $22/hr

The responsibilities include:

• Supervision of on-site janitorial staff
• Resolving customer issues in a professional and timely manner
• Helping plan and prepare work schedules
• Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment
• Maintaining accurate records
• Working with Area Manager to ensure quality standards are met
• Other job duties as needed

This is a working position. Cleaning required.

• Empty trash containers
• Clean bathrooms
• Vacuum all carpeted floors
• Dust, mop, and sweep hard floors
• Dust all horizontal surfaces high and low
• Remove fingerprints and marks from glass and stainless-steel surfaces
• Maintain the cleanliness of closets and storage areas
• Notify Area Manager of any problems
• Perform other janitorial duties as required
