Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a Project Manager (Custodial) to oversee janitorial staffing at a designated site, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. You will supervise workers, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with contract management to meet contract requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and continuous improvement, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm, and potential extra hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; 8 years of relevant experience may substitute a degree.
• Minimum 1+ years janitorial experience and at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Pre-Employment Tests: Word, Excel
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Background checks: criminal background check and state/federal registry checks; DCFS Abuse/Neglect checks
• Driving: valid driver’s license; 21+ to drive; company travel using personal insured vehicle required

Responsibilities

• Planning: collaborate with Director to maximize growth and efficiency, forecast revenue and expenses, manage inventory and budgets.
• Performance Management: oversee contract, ensure compliance with SOW and policies, monitor expenses, provide data for negotiations, ensure safety and SDS compliance.
• Customer Satisfaction: develop partnerships with contracting representatives, communicate updates, report on KPIs and trends, manage customer expectations.
• Client Development: ensure services meet client needs, coach on disability support techniques, audit performance and development.
• Effective Leadership: train and supervise staff, enforce company policies, build a strong culture aligned with values
