Job summary

AHEPA Senior Living in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a part-time janitor to keep our housing communities clean and welcoming. You will maintain offices, residential units, and common areas according to our guidelines, ensuring safety and comfort for residents.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, some maintenance or janitorial experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

• Performing some maintenance duties as necessary.

As a Part-time Janitor, you’ll provide top notch Janitorial services to the housing communities by:

• Ensuring that the offices, residential units, common areas and interior areas are cleaned and properly maintained according to specified guidelines.
• Demonstrating the ability to move items as necessary and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Performing some maintenance duties as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• High School Diploma or higher education.
• Technical school or equivalent maintenance, janitorial or grounds keeping experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer and technical skills
• Ability to travel as necessary for training
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to be flexible and receptive to diverse population
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
