Job summary

CSI International Inc is seeking a qualified Janitorial Area Manager in Worthington, OH to oversee and support janitorial staff. This role focuses on operational accountability for assigned accounts, team training, and regular site inspections to meet customer expectations.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of progressive management in janitorial services, strong knowledge of building maintenance, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years progressively increasing management experience in the janitorial industry.
• Satisfactory knowledge of building maintenance areas including restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, equipment operation and maintenance, chemical knowledge, MSDS and safety.
• Ability to meet deadlines and make decisions in stressful situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and discretion required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the janitorial staff; ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Budgets, P&L statements, quality control, staffing, training, work assignments and timecards.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections with Site Supervisor and/or customer.
• Determine staffing levels to satisfy the Scope of Work within budget.
• Train the janitorial staff; onboarding and hands-on training.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Respond to customer concerns or complaints and ensure closure of issues.
• Review timekeeping and complete payroll documents for accurate payment.
• Enforce safety policies; report and investigate accidents.
• Complete required training courses.
