Job summary

ABM Industries in Charleston, SC is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule and dispatch temporary janitorial team members to multiple locations. You will coordinate with shift coordinators and managers to meet customer requests and work orders.

The ideal candidate is 18+ with no high school diploma required, and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Prior dispatch or multi-line reception experience is helpful for daily coverage and timely staff movement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
• Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers.
• Schedule and dispatch resources to locations according to customer requests using phones and email.
• Ensure timely and efficient movement of team members according to work orders and schedules.
• Oversee communications within assigned area(s).
• Record and maintain files of dispatch information including time and schedules.
• Confer with ABM supervisors and team members to address questions or requests for coverage.
• Compile statistics and reports on work progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
