Job Opportunity: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for temporary Janitor positions at White Hall School District, located at 700 Bulldog Drive, White Hall, AR 71602. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Temporary, Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Disposing of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusting and damp mopping floors.
• Moving equipment and furniture for cleaning and returning them to proper placement.
• Cleaning assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces, following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washing walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identifying areas needing cleaning and taking initiative to complete tasks.
• Completing all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Performing tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Stripping, scrubbing, buffing, and refinishing floors; shampooing carpets.
• Contributing to the team and exhibiting professionalism.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
