Job summary

Related Management Company (RMC) is seeking a Janitor/Porter for the building at The Strathmore. The role covers cleaning of lobbies, hallways, and common spaces with a night shift from Saturday to Wednesday, 10:30pm–7:00am; Thursdays and Fridays off.

• 1-2 years janitor/porter experience preferred.
• Must be reliable and experienced with cleaning chemicals.
• Teamwork skills and ability to work with minimal supervision required.
• Excellent time management and strong work ethic needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas and restrooms.
• Perform light maintenance as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• General upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Snow removal and landscaping.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition.

The Janitor/Porter will be working directly under The Strathmore. The Janitor/Porter responsibilities include:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum and garbage removal)
• Light maintenance may be assigned
• Provide excellent customer service to residents
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Snow removal and landscaping
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 1-2 years prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience
• Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals
• Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Light maintenance knowledge is a plus
