Job summary

Epicurean Hotel is seeking a dedicated Lobby Attendant/Janitor for the 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) to maintain clean lobbies, restrooms, and public areas. You will interact with guests, perform deep cleaning tasks, and support events and daily housekeeping needs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, hospitality or janitorial experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds. This is an on-site role in Tampa with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or janitorial services preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic ability to use technology such as tablets or iPads.
• Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Maintenance Lobbies & Public Areas: Clean and maintain all lobbies, public restrooms, and front desk areas. Ensure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators, and doors are spotless and mark-free.
• Entrances & Exteriors: Sweep and mop carpets and lobby entrances, keeping the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Furniture & Fixtures: Polish and inspect furniture and fixtures for damages, report issues.
• Elevators: Vacuum and polish elevators regularly.
• Trash Removal: Remove all trash from designated areas.
• Supply Restocking: Restock all necessary supplies in lobby washrooms.
• Surface Cleaning: Ensure all surfaces, including floors, are clean and tidy.
• Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests and inquiries in the lobby.
• Deep Cleaning: Pressure wash common areas and scrub floors.
• Room Maintenance: Deep clean rooms including floors and bathrooms.
• Event Setup: Assist with setting up and moving tables and chairs.
• Team Support: Assist housekeeping as needed.
• Physical Tasks: Move items over 50 pounds.
• Minibar Maintenance: Refill minibar products and remove expired items.
• Inventory Management: Maintain pantry cleanliness and organization.

Overview of the role

We are looking for one (1) Lobby Attendant/Janitor, one for the 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm).

• Surface Cleaning: Ensure all surfaces, including floors, are clean and tidy.

Guest Interaction

• Guest Assistance: Respond to guest requests and inquiries while in the lobby, assisting with directions or other needs.

Special Project Responsibilities

• Deep Cleaning: Pressure wash common areas, clean and scrub building concrete floors, and buffer/extract carpets in rooms and common areas.
• Room Maintenance: Deep clean specific areas in rooms, including floors, carpet, shower walls, faucets, and showerheads.
• Event Setup: Assist with setting up and moving tables and chairs as needed for events.
• Team Support: Be available to assist other positions in the housekeeping department when needed.
• Physical Tasks: Ability to move, push, and carry items over 50 pounds.

Artisan & Pantry Responsibilities

• Minibar Maintenance: Refill minibar products in rooms and remove expired products.
• Inventory Management: Update the Artisan & Pantry Book daily with expiration dates and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pantry closet and cart.
