Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Groundskeeper for Atcheson Place Lofts in Columbus, OH.

You will maintain cleanliness, curb appeal and safety by performing routine janitorial duties, cleaning common areas, and assisting with light maintenance in a resident-focused community. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, can read and speak English, and are comfortable handling cleaning chemicals.

• Must be able to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions.
• Experience working with cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

As a Janitor/Groundskeeper, you'll help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of the community by performing routine janitorial duties, maintaining common areas and outdoor grounds, and assisting with light maintenance tasks as needed. Working closely with the property management and maintenance teams, you'll play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and attractive environment while supporting Woda Cooper's commitment to providing quality affordable housing and exceptional service to residents.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Interact positively at all times with residents and the public to enhance the community image and ensure superior resident retention.Create and maintain a customer-centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members and fellow community associates.Maintain an attractive community appearance and overall positive curb appeal.Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping, including snow removal as directed.Maintain a clean environment by mopping, window cleaning, trash removal, carpet cleaning, bathrooms, amenities, common areas.Assist maintenance team members with tasks as needed.Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.Comply with company expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.Performs other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIESLight knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall and painting is a plus.Ability to follow instructions.Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision.Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMust be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.Must be able to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions.Experience working with cleaning chemicals.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into small spaces.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.BENEFITSWe offer competitive wages and annual bonus opportunities.
