Job Description: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time JANITOR positions at Lockhart ISD, located at 500 City Line Road, Lockhart, TX 78644. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, Monday - Friday, hours may vary. More details will be provided upon interview.

Requirements: No experience required.

Pay Range: $12.00 to $12.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and order in buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and restores them to proper placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces and following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Identifies areas needing cleaning and completes tasks proactively.
• Follows all federal, state, and local guidelines in performing duties.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinish floors; shampoos carpets.
• Works well within a team and maintains professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
