Job Title: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time janitor positions at Cartersville Middle School, located at 825 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, GA 30120. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts; days may vary from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: No prior experience is required.

Pay Range: $11.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
2. Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
3. Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore to correct placement.
4. Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
5. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
6. Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
7. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
8. Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines.
9. Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
10. Contribute to team efforts; exhibit professionalism with customers and colleagues.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
